Since 2018 - Built by peers

More than events. A cultural shift.

SAFE is peer-driven, venue-embedded, and community-funded — proving that recovery culture gets built at the party, not after it.

Our story

Peer-driven since day one.

From its inception, Sober AF Entertainment has been more than just an event organizer. We are advocates for a cultural shift, challenging societal norms that often equate fun and relaxation with substance use. Our events, which began as small gatherings, quickly gained traction, leading to partnerships with major event organizers and venues across the country.

Over the years, SAFE has expanded its reach, not only hosting sober sections at events but also providing resources, education, and support around peer-driven sober support and harm-reduction initiatives. Our approach is holistic, understanding that sobriety is not just about abstaining from substances but also about building connections, fostering understanding, and creating a community.

Milestones

How we got here.

2018

A single Red Rocks show.

SAFE was founded on a simple premise: nobody in recovery should have to sit out the music. We started with one sober section at one Red Rocks concert.
2021

Peer support takes root.

We layered peer specialists onto every event and expanded into venue-embedded harm reduction — naloxone kits, resource tables, real conversation at the threshold.
2024

Five counties, one program.

SAFE’s COPA-approved peer training program, powered by Polaris Pathways, launches fully funded for Adams, Denver, Boulder, Weld, and Mesa county residents 18+.
2026

Scaling the peer network.

150+ peer specialists in training, a growing resource library, and an events calendar that spans concerts, festivals, and major-league sports — every one with a peer on deck.
