This page lists the cookies and similar technologies set when you visit soberafe.com. Plain English. We will add a consent banner before our production launch; in the meantime this page is the source of truth.
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser so that, the next time you visit, the site remembers something about you. Some cookies are required for the site to function (“strictly necessary”); others are used for performance, analytics, or third-party integrations.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
wordpress_logged_in_* |
WordPress core | Keeps you signed in to your dashboard account. | Session, or 14 days if “remember me” is checked. |
wordpress_sec_* |
WordPress core | Secures the login session over HTTPS. | Same as above. |
wp-settings-* |
WordPress core | Remembers your dashboard preferences (column choices, etc.). | 1 year. |
_lscache_vary |
LiteSpeed Cache | Tells our cache whether to serve a logged-in or logged-out version of the page. | Session. |
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid |
Stripe (third party) | Set when you visit the donation form. Used by Stripe to detect fraud and link your session across page loads of the Stripe checkout. | Up to 1 year (mid), 30 minutes (sid). |
You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. If you block strictly-necessary cookies, you will not be able to log in or donate.
Stripe cookies are set when you reach the donation page. If you do not want Stripe cookies, do not visit /donate/ or any page with the donation form embedded. We do not have a way to suppress Stripe’s cookies while still accepting donations through Stripe.
