Sober AF Entertainment is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. We rely on donations to run our programs, and we want every gift to feel right. This page explains our refund policy for donations and event tickets.

Donations

One-time donations

If you donated by mistake or changed your mind, contact us within 14 days of the donation date and we will issue a full refund to the original payment method. After 14 days we cannot issue refunds, because IRS rules require us to track donations on a calendar-year basis and a late refund creates a tax-receipt mismatch for both of us.

If your donation is fraudulent (someone used your card without permission), contact us immediately. We will refund the full amount regardless of the 14-day window and work with you and Stripe to investigate.

Recurring donations

You can cancel a recurring donation at any time through your dashboard customer portal. Cancellation stops all future charges immediately.

Already-charged installments are non-refundable after 14 days, with the same exception for fraud. If you wish to refund the most recent installment within 14 days, contact us.

Tax receipts after a refund

If we refund a donation, we will issue a corrected tax receipt that excludes the refunded amount. If your original receipt was issued in a prior tax year, please consult your tax advisor about how to amend.

Processing time

Approved refunds typically post to your card within 5-10 business days. If you don’t see it after 10 business days, contact your card issuer; refunds occasionally lag at the bank end.
